IC CONTACT

DESCRIPTION: Taako will usually answer pretty quickly, unless he's working.
DESCRIPTION: Leave your fanmail here anytime, and he'll be certain to go through it at the end of the day! (In the event that it's not, in fact, fanmail, he'll still see it, but you might not get a response in a timely manner. Or at all.)

But under Taako's pillow is a poorly-folded t-shirt and a little packet of three pills.
If he unfolds the shirt, it will read GOURMET in gigantic block letters, but the 'GOUR' and the 'T' have been crossed out, and the word VORE has been faux-scrawled above them.
It is, somehow, the correct size.]

[Taako glances down at the pills, confused, smirking.]
And, uh, drugs, I guess?
no subject
... well. He's frowning at his book, marking his place with one claw before he looks up.]
They're sex pills.
[He doesn't even actually manage a smile, but.
You know, the only interest you share with him besides vore jokes.]
no subject
[Holy fuck? Okay, this is either an insult or the best gift ever, but he has no idea which. He glances at Foster, eyebrows raised so they nearly disappear behind his bangs.]
no subject
[Foster glances back at his book, just briefly--he is doing his best to try and run over details in his head, but it's hard and he's already misremembering things.
But after a second, he devotes his attention to Taako a little more fully.]
Don't know if it's immediate or if you have to actually fuck someone to get there.
no subject
[Taako is on the edge of laughing, rolling the pills back and forth in his hand. He sets them down on the table, and then takes a seat at the table, crossing one leg over the other, gazing down at them.]
I mean, this is some "back of Fantasy Spencer's" stuff. Wild. Should I be honored that you saw this and thought of me?

The card is plain on the outside but the inside has a painted image of a voluminous silver-embroidered skirt with ankles and feet showing beneath it. It's not bad work - tiny brush, the painted embroidery is done with a good eye, there's shading - but the most notable part is that the painted fabric is iridescent, red or green or blue or purple depending on how the card is held.]
Saw these and thought of you.
I'm kinda freaked out about things, not going to lie, but I'm not mad at you. Hit me up sometime.

He takes out his radio, tuning it to Julien's frequency.]
Hey, uh... Julien? Are you there?
no subject
Yeah, I'm around. What's up? You got my glowing drugs?
no subject
[... he's getting off subject! He clears his throat, trying to focus.]
Uh. Anyway, I wanted to say, uh... thank you. And that I'm... totally sorry about what all I did to you back in, uh, you know. The Prince's whole... thing.
no subject
Haaah, well, not going to lie, that sucked. That sucked a lot and I wish I could say I don't remember, but I do, so, yeah. It wasn't your fault. Or mine, really, not more than a little bit.
To get free of all that I had to get killed and it's kinda weird that two of the people who did it were complete strangers, but uh... I'm glad someone I knew was around too, I guess? Glad isn't really the word. I appreciate the sympathy, though?
no subject
... uhh.
[It's a good thing Julien can't see the fact that he's actually blushing!]
Well, uh, anyway, he gave me some weird fae drugs, too, so either this is a super common thing, or I just give off some kind of pervert drug-addict vibe.
[There's a beat of quiet, and he sobers a bit, his tone more genuine than normal when he does speak.]
I'm definitely glad that Prince actually made good on the whole... bringing you guys back to life thing. That was pretty chill of him, all things considered, you know?

during winter break
[Don't like gingerbread? Well that's just too bad. There's no return address on these suckers.]

Somehow in the midst of all the baking he's been doing, he does find time to actually eat these, even though he has no idea where they're from or if they're enchanted or full of laxatives or something.
He's been drinking just... a lot of wine lately.]
D21, Lunar Solstice
Childermass isn't really one for fancy gift-wrapping, so this is simply wrapped in brown packing paper and tied off with a bit of colored twine with a very simple note attached. The wrapping is bottle-shaped, so no big surprise what's in there once opened — a bottle of Faerie Ale.
The note that goes with it reads,
'For your help finding the rose. You managed to do much of what I could not and for that, you have my gratitude.
- C ' ]
B19
It comes with a handwritten note from Connie:
Happy Holidays! I love books, and I hope you do too!
If you don't like this particular one, maybe you'll find one more to your liking in at the Book Swap!
Included is a crude drawing of the cabin layout with a star pointing to where the book swap is located.
no subject
Pirates, huh?
... yeah, he keeps it. Connie reminds him a little too much of a more fiesty Angus for him to be too much of a shithead to her. In response, the next day, Connie will find a little bag with a few homemade cookies wrapped up in it in her mailbox, a note pinned to it that simply reads, "From Taako," in enormous, looping script that takes up the entire card.]
Sometime Late Solstice- also in Japanese this card was 'Back the Cook' apparently gjfdhgkj
The card says 'Crooked Cook', but he has a really straight hat...so I'm not really sure why he's called crooked. He doesn't seem crooked... It's a really cool cook though, which is why I think it's a good card for you!!
I didn't know if you wanted cookies that we made together though...so I got you something else!! - Reira
[She sure did-wrapped in a T-Shirt, Taako will find an enormous cookbook of various interdimensional recipes! All of them are mundane in their effects, but Marvelous in their flavor (at least if Taako works his culinary magic).]
holy shit I love it
The next time Reira sees Taako after this, he will definitely be wearing that shirt, and this cookbook is placed safely on a shelf in his room for now. Reira can also expect to find, in the place she'd left the gift, a wrapped bundle of cookies made using a recipe out of the book, along with a note that simply has her name in Taako's big, flowery script.]
MAILBOX; Gift!
Inside is a custom made stain-resistant chef's apron with a variety of pockets for cooking implements and whatever your heart desires. There is also a note!
"For; Taako
Thank you for helping out in the kitchen! I hope this will help! Merry Christmas!
- Okumura Rin"]
Mailbox - Winter Break
HAPPY GYFTMAS
(ON THE MOON)
FROM PAPYRUS!!!
[Inside, a personal message continues:]
HI TAAKO,
HOPE YOU'RE ENJOYING THE HOLIDAYS!
AND THE BREAK FROM COOKING.
COOKING FOR WORK, I MEAN.
INSTEAD OF COOKING FOR PLEASURE.
BEING ON VACATION DOESN'T MEAN IT'S A VACATION FROM EATING.
OR FROM WANTING TO COOK...
I MADE A FEW DISHES MYSELF, IN THE CABIN.
THEY MIGHT NOT GET EATEN, BUT IT'S ALL WORTH IT FOR THE EXPERIENCE.
(CLEANING ALWAYS NEEDS DOING, TOO... SO MUCH FOR SLACKING OFF.)
no subject
Hail and all that, my dude. That was an awfully fancy card, so thanks for that. I have no idea what Gyftmas is, but I guess I can just wish you a happy Candlenights instead, so happy Candlenights, or whatever this is.
I'm not actually sure if you can eat or not, so if you can't, sorry for giving you food? Then again, I guess it would be weird for someone who can't eat to be a cook.
no subject
Within a day or two, another plainer letter finds its way to Taako's mailbox.]
GYFTMAS IS A GIFT GIVING HOLIDAY. JUST LIKE THIS WINTER SOLSTICE THING. EXCEPT FROM HOME, AND A LITTLE DIFFERENT. BUT I FIGURED I COULD WISH THIS MORE SINCERELY, AND SO I DID.
FORTUNATELY, I DO EAT. YOUR GIFT IS NOT IN VAIN! FEAR NOT!
IS IT REALLY SO WEIRD, THOUGH??? I DON'T NORMALLY EAT MY OWN COOKING, IT'S FOR OTHERS TO ENJOY.
BOX IN HIS TRAILER
"Taako-
This seems suitably flashy.
The Ringmaster❧"
[Her signature is so massive and florid that it fills up the rest of the paper. When they opens the box, they'll find a burning phoenix feather. It won't set things on fire and can be held, though it still creates warmth like a small fire.]
no subject
As for that feather...
... well. He has no idea what he could possibly use it for, but... it's definitely flashy enough. He can't wait to show it to Lup whenever he gets to go home.
In the meantime, he'll have it on display in his shared trailer with Foster, pinned carefully to a wall.]
