Aww, well. That always makes things tricky, but it's good to try and hash out.

[With the mouth that isn't close to the radio, Julien lets out a sigh and says something sulky. He'll be good, actually saying anything where it would be heard would be way shittier than he likes, but he won't deny to himself, he's disappointed by the speed bump.]

It's cool, I get it. I don't really uh... 'Sex' and 'emotional things' don't really conflate that well for me but I know they're friendly neighbors. I was thinking like friends-with-benefits 'cause that's what works best for me. That stuff can get cloudy though.

Oh! Uh, friends-with-bennies is for sure... like, I know this stuff is complicated and all that, but we never said that kind of thing was off limits or anything? I mean, you know, don't go falling for anyone else, of course, but friends, that's a whole different, uh, ballgame, I think.

[In Portland he was an angel - a wreck who had once been powerful - and had known angels of death. And thought of them as low-level angels who had to be protected in fights, admittedly. That's a little embarrassing.]

Not anymore. I'm all elf, as far as I can tell, except for the horns, I suppose. But I don't seem to have anything else left over, no dark, demonic blood or what-have-you.

... actually, as a matter of fact, my blood is actually super glittery and cheerful lately, which is, uh, new to me.
